Cookie Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026

Draft status: This policy is provided for product and legal review and is not legal advice.

Scope

This policy explains how Watermark Lens uses cookies and similar browser storage on watermarklens.com.

Necessary Storage

The public local character tools do not require first-party cookies. Cloudflare or other security providers may set strictly necessary cookies when required to protect and deliver the site. When account features are enabled, authentication may use secure browser storage or strictly necessary session mechanisms to keep you signed in, refresh a session, prevent abuse, and complete OAuth redirects.

Analytics

We use a Plausible-compatible analytics service hosted at plausible.shipsolo.io. The configured Plausible script measures aggregate traffic without analytics cookies or persistent cross-site identifiers.

We also use Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-G04WGCK8BF. The Google tag may set first-party analytics cookies, including cookies beginning with _ga, to distinguish visits and measure how the site is used. Cookie duration and related processing depend on the Google Analytics property configuration, Google settings, and browser controls. The Google tag is not loaded on the OAuth callback page.

Third-Party Services

Google Analytics may process measurement data collected on watermarklens.com. Google OAuth, Stripe-hosted checkout or billing pages, and links to external services may also set cookies on their own domains. Provider-controlled cookies are governed by the applicable provider policies and settings.

Managing Cookies and Storage

You can inspect, block, or delete cookies and site storage through your browser settings. You can also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking strictly necessary security or authentication storage may prevent account sign-in, OAuth, payment, or protected access from working.

Changes

If we change our analytics, advertising, personalization, or consent configuration, we will update this policy and provide additional controls where required.
